Birmingham Communications Organizations to Host a Joint Holiday Event
The American Marketing Association Birmingham chapter, Birmingham Social Media Club, American Advertising Federation of Birmingham, PRSA Alabama and Alabama Media Professionals will host a joint holiday event designed to bring together the region's professional communicators, advertisers and creatives.
The event will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 6:00 pm at basic. & Grounds, a recently-opened lifestyle and coffee shop in the heart of Downtown Birmingham.
All advertisers, communicators, media professionals, creatives, and marketers will come together to strengthen relationships between our organizations and cultivate future collaboration.
“There is power in collaboration and partnership. I’m glad our organizations have come together again to host a good time for our members and bring together all communications-based professionals, while highlighting local businesses,” said Jaz E. Hill, President of the American Marketing Association Birmingham chapter.
“For the second time local communicators will come together to celebrate all that we have accomplished, make new friends and reconnect with old ones. I’m hopeful that this will become an event we will look forward to attending every year,” said Ronda Robinson, President of Alabama Media Professionals.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in their festive best and enjoy local bites provided by top Birmingham restaurants, including El Barrio, basic. & Grounds, Bamboo on 2nd, Zoe’s in Mountain Brook, and Feast Catering Co. Guests will also enjoy an open bar and a celebration of Birmingham’s professional community's achievements this year.
“Our organizations work in separate fields of communications that have common intersections,” said co-founder Hailey Yeager. “As the holidays approach, it makes sense that these worlds collide for camaraderie, collaboration and cheer.”
“By coming together, we can not only celebrate our collective achievements but also strengthen the bonds that drive innovation and creativity in our respective industries,” added Briana Bryant, President of PRSA Alabama.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity to deepen relationships, ignite collaborations, and invest in the next generation of communicators. I’m excited to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new ones as we celebrate a year of innovation and success in Birmingham,” said David Sengkhammee, President of the American Advertising Federation Birmingham.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite for $35 for non-member guests, while members of each organization can attend for free. Don’t miss this opportunity to network, celebrate and make lasting connections within Birmingham’s professional creative community.
Eventgoers are asked to consider bringing items to donate that will be gifted to shelters and halfway homes that support Birmingham communities.
